Our History

Four generations of Whiting’s have labored behind the art of butchering and business, but we officially became Whiting Family Foods under the ownership of J Samuel Whiting – current owner and craftsman. He has an immense zeal for the trade and aims to bring the meat shop’s humble beginning into the 21st century through cutting edge technology. He always strives to hone his craft, remain environmentally conscious, and treat customers with utmost respect.

We provide both custom and USDA inspected processing. Don’t fret if you can’t provide the animal because we supply whole or portions of beef, pork, and lamb of the best quality from local farms, selected by our experienced agriculturists. Our cut-wrap-freeze system is designed to fulfill your exact specifications.

Our store is stocked full of products to fill your freezer or for dinner tonight! We sell pieces of pork, beef, and lamb – whole or by the pound – cut and vacuum sealed for free. Many relish our house-made smoked products as well as beef jerky and stick recipes. When it comes to grilling we’ve got you covered; our barbecue department supplies everything from marbled meats, perfectly proportioned seasonings, and expertly crafted Meadow Creek Cookers.
